If you or someone you know is suffering from hypoparathyroidism, the PARALLAX Study is recruiting.
The purpose of the PARALLAX Study is to measure the safety and tolerability of an injectable study drug and its effects on calcium levels in the blood and the amount of calcium passed in the urine, in adults with hypoparathyroidism, when given once a day versus twice a day. The long-term goal of this continuing research is to improve calcium control and potentially to reduce patients' daily doses and frequency of calcium and vitamin D supplements. Interested individuals will be evaluated to determine eligibility. Participants may also be reimbursed for travel expenses.
