New Questionnaires into Chronic Hypoparathyroidism

We are looking for adults who have chronic hypoparathyroidism to participate in a 1-hour telephone interview to discuss their experiences living with hypoparathyroidism in order to understand the symptoms that patients consider important and to give input on two fatigue questionnaires. The interview will be scheduled at a convenient time for the participant.

If you are interested and meet ALL of the following qualifications, we would like to talk to you:

-          An adult (aged 18 years or older) US resident with a diagnosis of chronic hypoparathyroidism

-          Must not have CASR gene mutation or an impaired responsiveness to parathyroid hormone (PTH)

-          Must not have taken in the past or currently be taking Natpara (parathyroid hormone)

-          Must not have taken in the past or currently be taking Forteo (teriparatide)

-          Currently taking oral calcium and vitamin D for the treatment of hypoparathyroidism  

-          Still experiencing symptoms due to chronic hypoparathyroidism, despite ongoing treatment

-          Willing and able to participate in a 1-hour telephone interview

-          Able to read, speak, and understand English

-          Willing and able to provide verbal informed consent for participation in a research study
