Ascendis Investor Call and announcement of their ASAP program

HPA wanted to take a moment to share a few details about the Ascendis investors call today 9.3.24.

Some of you may have attended the investors call today for Ascendis where they discussed pricing of Yorvipath. . Please know that the numbers you may have heard today are for payor purposes only, this is not the number that patients will pay.

If you read or hear nothing else, please understand that Ascendis has a robust support plan to make sure EVERY patient is heard and supported through the process of having access to Yorvipath.

Ascendis will have a personalized patient support plan powered by nurses who know hypopara. There is an A.S.A .P (Ascendis Signature Access Program) for one on one support in which you will have a nurse that advocates with you through the process. There will also be a PAP (patient assistance program) for those that are uninsured or under-insured. As part of the ASAP program your nurse advocate will walk you through the insurance or PAP program application process.

Please know that EVERY PERSON matters! It doesn’t matter your insurance type or lack there of the A.S.A.P program is designed to help you as an individual.

Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare patients please do your homework. 2025 has some changes to the overall program that will benefit you and you need to be knowledgeable about how to advocate for yourself. We have attached the links below as a starting point.

Medicare prescription payment plan also called the smoothing program. Beginning in 2025 if you are enrolled in Medicare you will be allowed to enroll in the smoothing program and spread your $2,000 out of pocket cost into monthly payments. This will take some work on your end to sign up for the A.S.A.P program. In addition, a few other things you will need to take charge of and do:

You will need to read all the details of things and make the phone calls so you understand
You will need to stay focused and not give up. Probably won’t be as easy as buying calcium but it will be worth it!
You will need to understand that every single person will be different please do not give in or give up if you see dollar amounts that another patient shares that seem out of reach. Keep working with your dedicated nurse in the A.S.A.P program and your clinician.
Know that Ascendis wants you to have this treatment so they will do everything possible to support you through approvals.

Lastly, this is all for your reference right now. Insurance companies will not be able to do anything until the product actually gets to the market in the next few months. We just knew there would be some worried folks over the pricing and wanted to have you rest assured that Ascendis is on your side in helping you through the process as an individual.
