Dr. Lucile Figueres has set up a valuable resource for patients
We are practitioners at the Nantes University Hospital in Loire-Atlantique. Thanks to our expertise, we are the leading reference centers within the OSCAR (phosphocalcic) and ORKiD (nephrogenetics) rare disease sectors.
Our team brings together experts from complementary disciplines, such as biochemistry, endocrine surgery, endocrinology, nephrology, pediatrics, rheumatology, and urology, as well as paramedical disciplines (dietetics, therapeutic education,
adapted physical activity, psychology).
The site is primarily aimed at:
- To patients with rare and non-rare phosphocalcic, nephrological, endocrinological and rheumatological diseases as well as their loved ones by providing them with information.
- For healthcare professionals who are not experts in this pathology, who are looking for support to better understand the care needed for their patients.
Hypoparathyroidism and kidney stones are the pathologies with the most support available on the site, but many documents can be used for other phosphocalcic pathologies (especially dietary documents).
It is not possible to be exhaustive to cover all pathologies, and certain situations require specific management (childhood, pregnancy, etc.). Ask your healthcare team for advice.
